As of 7:30 pm on Monday July 9th, 2007 the pool is closed for 7/9.  Major factors were the severe thunderstorms.   If this page was not updated today then the pool is most likely open. 

When the weather forecast is bad or temperature is below 68 degrees then the pool will be closed.  Weather in Naperville, IL  is the link our management team uses to check the local forecast.  The manager will edit this entry when closing the pool. The pool will generally closed on a shift by shift basis so closing decisions are made at noon and 3:30 pm.   Generally closing is generally done to save our budget and staff resources to serve the membership most efficiently.   

The pool is also closed for home swim meets.  Home Swim Meets are: Tues June 26th after 4 pm. with Rain dates July 16-18.  Swim Team has a Sucker Awards Party July 19th but the pool will be open.

Programs: Swim team and tennis lessons will make their own decisions about meets and practices.  They generally communicate through email.  Swim Lesson information will be posted here.  Regardless of the program you are registered for please use your judgment on your participation.  We may opt to offer a program on a questionable weather day.  However use your judgment on if it is safe and advisable for your family to participate. 

When lightning is detected the pool will close for a minimum of 30 minutes.  Depending the weather forecast, continued lightning, or current observations of the sky; the pool manager may be close the pool for a longer period.  It is not practicale for us to update this page for lightning closings until the pool has been closed for the day.

Finally, please note that in any weather the manager may close the pool if they determine that the pool is not in compliance with a heath standard.  (For example a power outage, a broken pump,  or simply low chlorine levels are enough to close the pool even on a beautiful weather day. While we work hard to avoid those situations we believe general membership safety is our 1st priority.
